RIAA's First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group is an initiative to support members in their stewardship responsibilities respecting First Nations peoples' rights in their business operations and their portfolio of companies.

The First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group has a three-fold purpose: address and advance the rights of First Nations peoples; elevate First Nations peoples' participation and voices in the investment sector; and increase access, scale and impact of First Nations peoples' related investment activity.

This meeting will feature a special presentation from Temuera Hall (Director - Portfolio Manager, Tahito) who will present on the recently published Ngā Rauemi mō Te Ao Māori | Resources for Understanding the Māori World View, which they authored.

The resources centre a Māori world view that emphasises connection to whenua, collective wellbeing and intergenerational responsibility. These perspectives are shaped by generations of lived experience and stewardship of land and resources. Ngā Rauemi mō Te Ao Māori offers a shared starting point, outlining how Māori world views influence governance structures, decision-making and investment approaches. Alongside contextual insight the presentation will draw out practical considerations relevant to real-world investment and business settings.

This presentation will be followed by the regular industry and subgroup updates.
