Overview

We demand the highest level of environmental standards from all our portfolio holdings. The strategy aims to have at least 80% of invested capital in companies where the majority of revenues or profits stem from tackling a specific environmental problem, and all holdings must make material positive impacts on the environment through their activities.

This strategy has three key objectives:

· Generate strong long-term returns by investing in one of the leading structural growth themes: the green transition

· Drive capital to companies delivering the green transition and protecting against ecosystem destruction

· Direct environmental impact: 33% of all management fees are directed to carefully selected environmental charities

At the core of our investment process is our proprietary 4-step screen that is used to assess whether companies are legitimately providing environmental solutions, and therefore whether they qualify for potential inclusion in the Fund. We believe that this hurdle for inclusion is demonstrably higher than that of many of our peers. This screen results in a well-defined universe of around 350-400 companies that provide solutions to environmental issues.

The main environmental themes targeted are in the following sectors: (i) clean energy; (ii) clean transport; (iii) forestry and agriculture; (iv) responsible consumption; (v) recycling and circular economy; (vi) sustainable use and protection of water; and (vii) electrification, electrical and industrial efficiency.

Description

The TT Global Environmental Impact Fund aims to generate strong long-term returns by investing in the leading global structural growth theme – the green transition. It is a pure-play environmental strategy: all investee companies must produce products or services that tackle an environmental problem. It also has a direct positive impact, with one-third of TT International’s management fees being donated to carefully selected environmental charities.
