The Responsible Investment Association Australasia in partnership with the Guardians of the New Zealand Superfund was pleased to host a workshop on nature-related investment in Aotearoa. The workshop explored nature-based risks and how to identify investment opportunities that deliver nature-positive outcomes and yield good financial returns. A progress update on the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) was also provided.This event showcased short case studies, highlighting examples of profitable nature-positive investments in the urban, agricultural, forestry and marine sectors. The workshop explored the following:– Why nature is important to business in a New Zealand context– Opportunities for profitable nature-positive investment, as demonstrated by case studies– The alignment between the Māori world view and nature-positive businesses/investments– Interconnections between the climate and nature crises
