The Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) is pleased to the launch of the first comprehensive study on investor stewardship practices in Australia and New Zealand conducted with research partner KPMG.Launched on Wednesday 30 November, Engage, Advocate, Collaborate: Unpacking Stewardship in Australasia in 2022 is a deep dive into stewardship and corporate engagement. It’s RIAA’s response to calls by investment managers and asset owners to better understand how stewardship is implemented on the ground, what effective engagement with investee companies looks like, the key barriers being encountered and what it means to be a good steward.The study draws on over 20 interviews with industry participants and stakeholders, as well as survey data from over 70 institutional investors, trusts, foundations and other investors.https://youtu.be/1IZT164JDWA
