– Monitor and report on the responsible investment practices of the superannuation sector;

Responsible Super Fund Leaders

In 2023, RIAA is introducing a new leader designation for super funds, the Responsible Super Fund Leader insignia.

Responsible Super Fund Leaders commit to good governance and accountability; implement and measure responsible investment approaches through activities such as engagement and voting and ESG integration; properly measure outcomes; and have a high degree of transparency.

This insignia is a new recognition for organisations that have achieved a score of 70% or more on RIAA’s Framework of Good Responsible Investment Governance within the study, which evaluates the quality and scope of responsible investment based on disclosures.

In our previous reports, we identified leading responsible investment super funds and listed them in the report. This edition, we take it a step further by introducing a tangible insignia that symbolises and celebrates their outstanding achievements, just as we do for Responsible Investment Leaders and Responsible Investors as part of our Benchmark Report.

You can refer to our 2021 study above for information on the methodology used and RIAA’s Framework of Good Responsible Investment Governance. Details will be provided in the 2023 report.
