Aotearoa Collaborative Working Group

The Aotearoa Collaborative Working Group is an initiative by the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), to drive responsible investing in Aotearoa New Zealand. Comprising RIAA’s New Zealand-based members, the group serves as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and collective action.

It aims to address the evolving landscape of responsible investment by tailoring strategies to the local context, driving meaningful initiatives, and strengthening corporate engagements. Through quarterly in-person events and shared insights, members from diverse sectors, including Asset Managers, Banking, Asset Owners, and Trusts, work together to combat greenwashing, foster responsible investment practices, and amplify positive impacts on the economy, environment, and society.

There has long been a gap in the New Zealand market for collaborative working between fund managers. This working group will be a space for fund managers to come together and focus their engagement efforts as a group, both with corporates and with policy makers. After all, if you want to go far, go together. - Rachel Tinkler, Head of Responsible Investment at Mint Asset Management
